Vimeo On Demand shutting down

Greetings all,

I just received an email from Vimeo announcing they are ending Vimeo on Demand. The following is directly from the email they sent out.

“What's changing

As of August 22, 2026:

New uploads are disabled — you can no longer add new titles to your VOD storefront

Starting on September 21, 2026:

Customers won't be able to make new purchases or start subscriptions

Between September 21, 2026 and November 20, 2026:

Your existing VOD content will remain available to customers who already purchased it

Your seller account will remain accessible

Revenue earned before the phase-out will continue to be processed in accordance with the Seller Addendum—including any applicable refunds, chargebacks, taxes, or adjustments

On November 20, 2026:

Vimeo On Demand will be phased out completely

All VOD listings will be removed

Customers will no longer be able to access previously purchased content

Seller access to VOD will end".

Anyone who has purchased a copy from Vimeo in the past and loses access to their content can contact me and I will send them a digital file on a USB stick or provide them with a download link for the title, you will have to provide proof of purchase for me to verify.
